Melville is where much of Long Island goes to work. Office campuses line Route 110, hotel ballrooms fill with conferences on weekdays and weddings on weekends, and the Long Island Expressway carries everyone in and out. Charter Buses USA plans group transportation that fits that pattern: employee shuttles to the Huntington train station, client transfers from JFK, senior outings to Broadway matinees, school trips, game-day buses and wedding loops between Walt Whitman Road hotels and North Shore venues.

Every Melville charter bus rental we quote starts with your actual addresses, headcount and timing, then follows the roads a bus is legally allowed to use here. That last part matters more in Melville than almost anywhere else on the Island, and we explain why below.

Why group travel in Melville works differently

Most towns have a downtown where a bus pulls up, unloads and leaves. Melville does not. It is a hamlet of the Town of Huntington built around an office corridor, with corporate campuses, hotels and medical offices set back behind landscaped lots on Route 110 and the LIE service roads. Homes sit on quiet curving streets to the east and north. For a charter bus, that means the hard part is rarely the highway. It is the last few hundred feet: which driveway a 45-foot coach can actually turn into, where it can wait without blocking a security gate, and how a group of 50 finds the right door.

Melville is also a place people arrive in rather than leave from. Weekday mornings bring employees from Queens, Nassau and western Suffolk into the corridor, and companies here have long hosted visiting clients, trainees and conference guests. Canon USA built its Americas headquarters near Exit 49 in 2013, and Henry Schein, Newsday, MSC Industrial, Verint and other national firms run headquarters or major offices nearby. That makes Melville one of the busiest places on Long Island for corporate charters, airport transfers and hotel shuttles.

At the same time, the residential side of Melville skews older than most of the Island. Census data shows a median age above 50, so we plan many trips with step-free boarding, shorter walks from drop-off points and unhurried schedules in mind. Add the school districts that serve the hamlet, the faith communities, the sports clubs and the weddings booked into Melville ballrooms, and you get a town that needs every size of vehicle we offer, sometimes on the same Saturday.

This page is written specifically for that mix. If you are planning a trip from somewhere else on the Island, our Long Island charter bus rental guide covers the wider region.

A hamlet named for honey

Before it was Melville, the valley was known as Sweet Hollow, a name tied to the wild honeybees early settlers found there. Local historians think "Melville" most likely comes from mel, the Latin word for honey, though some credit the novelist Herman Melville. Sweet Hollow Road still runs through the hamlet, and our planners use it as a landmark more often than you might expect.

On the county line

Melville sits on the Suffolk side of the Nassau border. A group leaving here can reach Old Bethpage or Plainview in minutes, and trips often cross the line twice before lunch. We quote it as one continuous itinerary, not two separate jobs.

The parkway rule every Melville trip follows

The Northern State Parkway cuts straight through Melville, and for cars it is often the fastest way west. Buses cannot use it. Like every state parkway on Long Island, the Northern State bans commercial vehicles, and its 1930s stone overpasses were never built for anything as tall as a motorcoach. Phone navigation apps do not know your vehicle is a bus, which is why bridge strikes still happen.

So every bus plan in Melville runs on the Long Island Expressway (I-495) and Route 110, with Jericho Turnpike and local arterials for the final approach. The same applies on the way to many South Shore destinations served mainly by parkways, which is why we confirm bus access to beach and park venues before a quote is final.

A motorcoach roof sits higher than the opening of a low parkway overpass parkway overpass coach roof line The roof is higher than the opening. That is why buses stay on the LIE and Route 110.
Simplified illustration. Parkway clearances vary by bridge; the ban applies to buses on every state parkway regardless of height.

What this means for you: a bus trip from Melville may cover a few more miles than your car would, and the quote should already reflect that. If a quote from any company seems to assume parkway travel times, ask how the driver is getting there. Current road conditions and closures are posted on 511NY, and the legal background is covered by the New York State Department of Transportation.

Route 110: the corridor your bus will know by heart

NY 110, signed locally as Broadhollow Road, is Melville's main street in every practical sense. It runs north and south across Long Island, and almost every Melville itinerary touches it. Here is how the corridor looks from a driver's seat, from the north end to the south.

North toward Huntington HarborSouth toward the Great South Bay
North

Huntington Station and the LIRR

The Huntington station on the Port Jefferson Branch is the closest full-service rail stop to Melville and the usual anchor for employee shuttles and visitors coming out from Penn Station or Grand Central Madison. Walt Whitman Shops sits on 110 here too, a handy, well-known meeting point with large lots.

NSP

Northern State Parkway interchange

Cars peel off for the parkway here. Your bus stays on 110. Expect heavier merging traffic at rush hour, which we build into pickup windows for offices just south of the interchange.

LIE 49

The corporate core

Between the Northern State and the LIE you find the densest cluster of offices, the Hilton Long Island/Huntington at 598 Broadhollow Road, and, a short hop west on Walt Whitman Road, the Melville Marriott Long Island. Canon USA's glass headquarters stands near the Exit 49 interchange. Most of our Melville corporate and hotel pickups fall within this mile.

South

Pinelawn and the cemetery belt

Below the LIE, 110 passes the Pinelawn area, its large cemeteries and the Pinelawn LIRR stop on the Main Line. That station runs limited weekend service only, so we rarely plan a group transfer around it unless the timetable fits.

FRG

Farmingdale and Republic Airport

Farther south, 110 reaches Republic Airport, Farmingdale State College and Adventureland. Republic handles private and charter aircraft, so executive groups sometimes land there and finish their trip to Melville on one of our vans or coaches.

Bay

Amityville and the South Shore

The road ends near the water in Amityville, close to Sunrise Highway and the Babylon Branch. It is a straight, bus-friendly run for South Shore dinners, waterfront events and school trips.

Melville pickup spots, rated by how easy they are for a bus

Tell us the pickup address and we will tell you whether a full-size coach fits, or whether a minibus or a short walk to a better curb will save time. These are the places Melville groups most often ask about.

Route 110 hotels

Easy

Large porte-cocheres and lots handle full-size coaches well. Give the hotel a heads-up about the arrival time so the driveway is clear of valet cars, and ask guests to wait in the lobby rather than the curb in winter.

Corporate campuses

Usually easy

Most office parks have wide drives, but some route buses to a side entrance or ask them to stay outside a security gate. Send us facility instructions and a site contact, and we will plan the stop around them.

Huntington LIRR station

Timing matters

Commuter traffic around train arrivals is heavy, and curb space is shared with taxis and drop-offs. We time shuttles to specific trains and pick a consistent boarding point riders can find without asking.

Schools and houses of worship

Usually easy

Bus loops and big lots make these simple, as long as departures avoid dismissal or service times. Tell us when the lot is busiest and we will stage elsewhere until the group is ready.

Residential streets and gated communities

Plan ahead

Curving cul-de-sacs and gatehouses can be tight for a 45-foot coach. For a 55-plus community or a home party, a clubhouse lot or a minibus usually works better than a door-to-door stop. We confirm gate access in advance.

Park-and-ride lot by the LIE

Use with care

The commuter lot north of the expressway is convenient on paper. It is unattended, so we suggest it only for daytime departures with a group leader on site, and we prefer a staffed hotel or campus lot for early or late runs.

Ratings reflect typical conditions for a full-size coach. Every stop is confirmed for your date and assigned vehicle. More tips in our pickup and drop-off guide and charter bus parking rules.

Re
Corporate charter and employee shuttle options in Melville

Corporate transportation built for Melville office parks

Melville companies use charter buses for a handful of recurring jobs, and each one runs on a different clock. A shareholder meeting has one fixed start. A training week has five. An employee shuttle has dozens of small deadlines every morning. We plan each type around the time that cannot slip, then size the vehicle and the number of runs to fit.

One-day events

Client visits, sales kickoffs, award dinners and off-site strategy days usually start or end at a Route 110 hotel or campus. Common patterns include morning pickups at JFK or LaGuardia, a midday move to a North Shore venue and an evening return to the hotel. For leadership teams and client hosting, an executive coach with conference seating keeps the meeting going on the road. See our corporate charter bus rental page for the full service list.

Recurring employee shuttles

The classic Melville shuttle links Huntington station to office parks south of the Northern State, timed to inbound trains in the morning and outbound trains in the evening. Others connect satellite parking during construction, run between two company buildings, or bring seasonal staff in from Queens and Nassau. We help you count riders by run, set a sensible headway, and test the route before you commit. Start with our employee shuttle services, then read how to run an employee shuttle pilot and choose pickup locations.

Send us for a shuttle quote

  • Train or shift times riders must meet
  • Peak riders per run, not the daily total
  • Each campus entrance and badge rule
  • Days off, holidays and early closures

Send us for an event quote

  • Agenda with the one time that cannot move
  • Arrival flights or hotel blocks
  • Dress or branding expectations
  • Who on site can approve a change

Multi-site firms can also move staff to a town hall, a plant tour or a training center elsewhere on the Island. Our guides on transportation between office buildings, off-site training days and parking closures come straight from these jobs.

Conference planners at the Hilton or Marriott can book a convention shuttle or a hotel shuttle for the length of the event.

Choose the vehicle by the whole trip, not just the headcount

Thirty people with carry-ons and thirty people with checked luggage need different buses. So do thirty executives and thirty middle schoolers. Here is how each vehicle tends to fit Melville jobs.

56up to, seated

Full-size charter bus

Best in Melville for: Long trips, airport groups, big teams

The workhorse for 40 to 56 riders with luggage. Reclining seats, underfloor bays and usually a restroom make it the right call for Manhattan, Atlantic City or a full day on the North Fork.

See the full-size charter bus
35up to, seated

Minibus

Best in Melville for: Weddings, dinners, Route 110 hotel loops

Easier to stage in tight hotel drives and residential clubhouses, with enough seats for a mid-size group. Luggage space is limited, so tell us if bags are coming.

See the minibus
15up to, seated

Sprinter van

Best in Melville for: Executive transfers, small airport groups

A nimble choice for a visiting leadership team or a family arriving at JFK. Pick a layout with more seats or more luggage room depending on the trip.

Executive coach

Best in Melville for: Client hosting, roadshows, board retreats

Leather seating, work tables and a polished look for days when the ride is part of the meeting. Request specific amenities early so we can confirm them.

Shuttle bus

Best in Melville for: Employee routes, conferences, parking lots

Built for repeated short runs, such as Huntington station to an office park or a remote lot to a ballroom. Quick boarding matters more here than reclining seats.

Capacities and amenities vary by vehicle and operator, so we confirm seats, storage, restrooms, Wi-Fi, outlets and lifts in writing for your booking. Still deciding? Read what size charter bus do I need, charter bus vs mini bus and mini bus vs Sprinter van.

Groups we move in and out of Melville

Different groups worry about different things. A coach cares about equipment space, a bride cares about the last return, and an activities director cares about the step height. These notes reflect what Melville organizers ask us most.

Schools and youth programs

Melville children attend schools in the Half Hollow Hills and South Huntington districts, and their trips range from Old Bethpage history days to Albany competitions. We work to district paperwork and chaperone plans. See school field trip charter bus rental and our guide to assigning students to multiple buses.

Senior communities and clubs

With nearly three in ten residents aged 65 or older, Melville books a lot of matinee, museum and casino days. We plan for handrails, low steps, wheelchair lifts on request and a schedule that never rushes. Read are charter buses good for seniors.

Weddings and celebrations

Melville ballrooms host receptions while guests often sleep in the Route 110 hotels, and ceremonies may be at a church in Huntington or an estate on the North Shore. We map every leg. Start with wedding charter bus rental and early and late return shuttles.

Faith communities

Congregations travel to retreats, mission days, pilgrimages and youth conventions, often on Sunday afternoons when hotel and office lots are quiet. Visit church group charter bus rental.

Sports teams and fan clubs

Travel teams need bag space as much as seats, while fan groups need a firm meeting point after a game at UBS Arena, Citi Field or MetLife. See sports team charter bus rental.

Colleges and universities

Farmingdale State College sits just down Route 110, and campuses across the Island run admitted-student days, club trips and team travel. Visit college and university charter bus rental.

Government and nonprofit groups

Agencies, civic associations and charities need clear invoices and dependable timing for hearings, volunteer days and conferences. See government and military charter bus rental and nonprofit savings tips.

Private parties and tours

Milestone birthdays, reunions, concert nights and North Fork tastings work best when nobody has to drive home. Browse private event charter bus rental, tour group charters and concert and festival transportation.

Airports and rail connections for Melville groups

Melville sits roughly midway between the big New York airports and central Suffolk, so groups often have a real choice of where to fly. Distances below are approximate road miles from the Route 110 and LIE interchange; drive times depend heavily on the hour.

JFK

John F. Kennedy International

About 30 miles west via the LIE and Van Wyck

The main gateway for international clients and long-haul flights. Allow time for customs, and send flight numbers so we can track delays. Airport site

LGA

LaGuardia

About 30 miles west via the LIE and Grand Central

Popular for domestic business travel. Commercial pickup areas differ by terminal, so riders follow the trip-day instructions we send. Airport site

ISP

Long Island MacArthur

About 20 miles east in Ronkonkoma

Smaller and calmer, with a straight LIE run that skips the city traffic entirely. Worth checking for domestic groups. Airport site

FRG

Republic Airport

A few miles south on Route 110

Private and charter aircraft only. Executive groups landing here can be in a Melville boardroom in minutes on a Sprinter or executive coach.

EWR

Newark Liberty

Roughly 55 to 60 miles, crossing Manhattan or Staten Island

Possible, but bridge and tunnel tolls and city traffic add time and cost. We price it honestly so you can compare fares.

HPN

Westchester County

Across the Throgs Neck or Whitestone

Occasionally useful for New England connections or private aviation. Ask us to compare it with JFK and LGA for your dates.

Rail handoffs

Plenty of groups take the Long Island Rail Road from Manhattan and finish by bus. The trick is choosing the right station for the timetable and the group.

For more, read airport charter bus rental and can a charter bus pick you up at the airport.

  • Huntington (Port Jefferson Branch): nearest full-service station to Melville and our default for weekday employee shuttles.
  • Farmingdale (Main Line): a good southern option, reached straight down Route 110, with full weekday service.
  • Pinelawn (Main Line): closest on the map, but weekend-only service makes it a poor fit for most groups.
  • Hicksville and Syosset: useful for Nassau-side riders when Huntington trains do not line up.

Where Melville groups go, measured in rings

Think of Melville as the center of a target. The closer rings are easy half-day trips; the outer rings call for an early start, a careful look at driver hours or an overnight. Every destination below works by bus, with access confirmed for your date.

Close to home

Usually under 25 minutes

  • Old Bethpage Village Restoration: a re-created 19th-century village that suits school groups and seniors alike.
  • Bethpage State Park: home of the Black Course, which hosted the 2025 Ryder Cup, plus picnic areas for company outings.
  • West Hills County Park: trails up Jayne's Hill, the highest point on Long Island, and the nearby Walt Whitman Birthplace.
  • Huntington village: restaurants, the Paramount concert hall and Heckscher Museum, with Cold Spring Harbor a few minutes on.

About an hour

Rush hour can double this

  • UBS Arena and Nassau Coliseum: concerts and hockey, with set bus drop zones. Check UBS Arena guidance before each event.
  • Cradle of Aviation Museum: a school-trip favorite in Garden City.
  • Citi Field and Flushing: Mets games and the US Open grounds in late summer.
  • Port Jefferson and Stony Brook: harbor towns, the university and the ferry to Connecticut.

Full day

Plan the return before the outbound

  • Manhattan: Broadway matinees, museums and holiday windows. City drop-off rules are strict, so exact addresses matter. See our Manhattan charter bus page.
  • Yankee Stadium and MetLife: game days need a firm meeting point for the ride home.
  • North Fork: wineries, farm stands and fall pumpkin picking. Read our group wine tour guide.
  • The Hamptons and Montauk: long, beautiful and slow in summer. Leave early.

Overnight or long haul

Driver rest rules shape the plan

  • Atlantic City and Connecticut casinos: perennial senior and club trips. See casino destinations by bus.
  • Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.: classic eighth-grade and civics trips.
  • Albany and the Hudson Valley: lobbying days, competitions and fall foliage. See Hudson Valley charters.
  • Niagara Falls and Western New York: multi-day tours. Our Niagara Falls page covers the far end.

Times are rough guides, not promises. Admissions, tickets and group reservations are booked by the organizer directly with each venue; the charter covers the transportation listed in your agreement.

Three Melville trips, planned start to finish

These composite examples show how we turn a request into a schedule. Your details will differ, but the decisions are the same ones we walk through on every quote.

Case file A: company summer outing

120 employees, Route 110 campus to the North Fork

Two 56-seat coaches plus one minibus. Thursday, not Friday.

  1. 9:00 Riders gather in the campus lot, badges collected by team leads
  2. 9:30 Depart east on the LIE from Exit 49
  3. 11:00 Reserved winery tasting in two seatings
  4. 1:15 Catered lunch at a farm venue
  5. 3:30 Final stop at a farm stand, then board
  6. 5:45 Back in Melville, traffic allowing

Why Thursday: summer Fridays jam the eastbound LIE by midday. Moving the outing one day cut the planned drive time and kept the return before dark.

Case file B: senior club matinee

44 members, clubhouse to a Broadway matinee

One full-size coach with a wheelchair lift requested. Wednesday.

  1. 9:45 Boarding at the community clubhouse, not individual homes
  2. 10:00 Depart via the LIE and Queens-Midtown Tunnel
  3. 11:30 Drop near the theater district at a legal bus zone
  4. 12:00 Group lunch close to the theater
  5. 2:00 Curtain
  6. 5:00 Pickup at a pre-agreed corner, home by about 6:45

Why a fixed corner: Midtown buses cannot idle at the theater door. A named meeting corner, shared on paper with every rider, beats a scramble on the sidewalk.

Case file C: two-hotel wedding

110 guests, Huntington church to a Melville ballroom

One coach and one minibus. Saturday in October.

  1. 2:15 Coach leaves the Walt Whitman Road hotel; minibus leaves a Farmingdale hotel
  2. 3:00 Ceremony at the church in Huntington
  3. 4:00 Both vehicles carry guests to the Melville reception
  4. 10:00 Early return for families and older guests
  5. 11:45 Final return after the last dance

Why two waves: one late departure strands grandparents; endless loops confuse everyone. Two printed times on the welcome card solved both.

Illustrative examples for planning purposes. Times, vehicles and venues are confirmed individually for each booking.

A Melville year in bus bookings

Demand here follows the corporate calendar as much as the school one. Darker months are the ones to book furthest ahead.

JanSales kickoffs and training weeks at Route 110 hotels. Ski trips north.
FebQuiet roads, good rates. Winter break school trips and casino days.
MarSpring competitions, college visits and conference season returns.
AprSpring break travel, field trips and early wedding dates.
MayProms, field trips and weddings collide. Book coaches months ahead.
JunGraduations, end-of-year trips and corporate summer outings.
JulCamps, beach events and Mets and Yankees games. Fridays east are slow.
AugUS Open in Flushing, camp returns and move-in weekends.
SepPeak wedding month and post Labor Day corporate events.
OctWeddings, homecomings and North Fork pumpkin picking all compete.
NovThanksgiving airport runs and the first holiday parties.
DecHoliday office parties, Manhattan windows and Radio City shows.
Easier to bookBusyBook early

Two Melville quirks shape this calendar. First, hotel ballrooms on Route 110 do double duty, so a busy conference week and a busy wedding weekend can land back to back and tie up the same coaches. Second, the corporate year starts early: January training weeks and kickoffs fill buses while the rest of the Island is still quiet.

If your date is flexible, a weekday in January, February or early November usually opens up the most vehicles. Our guides on the best time to rent a charter bus and holiday office party transportation go deeper.

How much does a charter bus cost in Melville?

We do not publish a flat Melville price, because a 20-minute hotel transfer and a Montauk wedding weekend are different products. Your quote reflects vehicle type, hours, miles and date. These are the levers that move it most for trips starting here.

What pushes the price up

  • Peak datesMay, June, September, October and December Saturdays, when coaches sell out across the Island.
  • City crossingsTunnel and bridge tolls into Manhattan and the Bronx, Manhattan's congestion pricing zone where it applies, and paid bus parking.
  • Rush-hour timingA departure that sits in LIE traffic adds billable hours without adding anything to the trip.
  • Long idle windowsKeeping a coach for a six-hour gap between a ceremony and a reception.
  • Overnight or very long daysDriver lodging, or a second driver when the schedule exceeds federal service limits.

What keeps it down

  • Weekday and off-season travelTuesday to Thursday trips in winter often have more vehicles to choose from.
  • One or two pickupsA single hotel or campus lot instead of six homes along Sweet Hollow Road.
  • The right sizeTwo minibuses can beat one coach for split itineraries, and the reverse is just as common.
  • Smart departure timesLeaving Melville at 9:30 instead of 8:00 often shortens a Manhattan run.
  • A firm headcountQuotes built on final numbers avoid last-minute upgrades. See 15 ways to save.

Ask every company you compare to price the same scope: the same vehicle, hours, stops, tolls, parking and gratuity assumptions. Our guides on how charter bus pricing works, hidden fees, who pays tolls and comparing quotes explain each line item.

Send your date, stops and headcount and we will return an itemized Melville quote.

A Melville-specific tip: if your group mixes Route 110 office workers and residents from the hamlet's quieter northern streets, set one central boarding point rather than a string of home pickups. The bus leaves on time, nobody waits in a cul-de-sac, and the trip starts with everyone in one place. For printable versions, see our pre-departure checklist and booking checklist.

Safety and paperwork you can check yourself

Charter Buses USA arranges service through its fleet resources and a network of licensed operators. Every operator we assign must hold active federal authority, carry required insurance and run drivers with commercial licenses and passenger endorsements. You do not have to take our word for it: any carrier's USDOT number can be looked up on the FMCSA SAFER system.

Planning near Melville also means planning for winter. Nor'easters can close parts of the LIE or leave hotel lots unplowed, and the operator decides when roads are safe for a loaded coach. We will tell you as early as possible if a weather call affects your trip and help you reschedule rather than guess.

Read our full safety commitment, plus how to verify a bus company and red flags to watch for.

  • Bus-legal routing: no parkways, and commercial GPS that accounts for vehicle height.
  • Driver hours: schedules respect federal hours-of-service limits, with a second driver when a long day needs one.
  • Accessibility on request: tell us about wheelchairs, walkers and boarding needs early so a suitable vehicle can be confirmed.
  • Seat belts where fitted: riders should wear them; see seat belt rules.
  • Weather calls: Long Island nor'easters and summer storms can change plans, and safety decisions belong to the operator.

Service around Melville and beyond

Most Melville trips cross into a neighboring town, a borough or another state. These pages cover the places our Melville groups travel to and from most.

A plain note: we do not keep a storefront or garage in Melville. Vehicles are dispatched from our fleet resources and partner operators serving Long Island, and availability for your date is confirmed when you book. Dashed names above are nearby communities we serve as part of Melville trips. For local government information, visit the Town of Huntington.

Melville charter bus FAQ

Quick answers to the questions Melville organizers ask before requesting a quote. Anything else, call +1 (308) 304-6668 or see the main FAQ page.

Can a charter bus use the Northern State Parkway from Melville?

No. Buses and other commercial vehicles are banned from the Northern State and every other state parkway on Long Island, largely because of low overpasses. Our drivers use the Long Island Expressway, Route 110 and Jericho Turnpike instead, and quotes for Melville trips are built on those bus-legal routes.

How much does a charter bus rental in Melville cost?

Price depends on the vehicle, the date, total hours, mileage, tolls, parking and any driver lodging. A short weekday hotel transfer and a Saturday wedding with two return runs are priced very differently, so we provide a free custom quote rather than a flat rate. Weekday and off-season dates usually cost less and offer more vehicle choices.

Where can a bus pick up at a Route 110 office park?

Most Melville campuses have a main entrance or a side drive that can take a full-size coach. Some facilities ask buses to wait outside a security gate or use a specific door. Send us the facility instructions and an on-site contact, and we will plan the stop around them.

Which airports are closest to Melville for group travel?

Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma is about 20 miles east, while JFK and LaGuardia are each roughly 30 miles west. Republic Airport in East Farmingdale, a few miles south on Route 110, handles private and charter aircraft. We can meet groups at any of them and plan around flight delays.

Can you run a daily employee shuttle between the Huntington LIRR station and Melville offices?

Yes. Recurring shuttles are timed to specific inbound and outbound trains and sized to the busiest run, not the daily average. We can start with a pilot period, adjust stops and frequency based on ridership, and add vehicles for peak days.

Do you have a garage or office in Melville?

No. We do not claim a local storefront. Vehicles are dispatched from our fleet resources and licensed partner operators serving Long Island, and availability for your date is confirmed in writing when you book.

What size bus do I need for 30 people with luggage?

Thirty riders with only small bags often fit a minibus. Thirty riders with checked suitcases, such as an airport group, usually need a full-size coach for the underfloor storage. Tell us the luggage count and we will recommend the right vehicle.

Can you handle senior community trips with accessibility needs?

Yes. Many Melville trips serve older riders. We can request vehicles with wheelchair lifts, plan boarding at a clubhouse or other level area, and build in unhurried stops. Please share mobility needs early so a suitable vehicle can be confirmed.

Can schools in the districts serving Melville book field trips?

Yes. We work with school and district trip paperwork, chaperone counts and pickup procedures. Share any district vehicle requirements with your request, along with the venue reservation time, so the schedule protects the program start.

How far ahead should we book for prom, graduation or wedding season?

For May, June, September and October dates, six to twelve months ahead is wise, especially for Saturdays. Corporate events typically need two to four months. Last-minute requests are still worth sending, particularly for weekdays.

Can the bus wait at a Melville hotel or in Manhattan during our event?

Wait time can be included in your booking. At a Route 110 hotel the driver can usually stage in the lot. In Manhattan, buses cannot idle at the curb, so the driver parks at a legal location and returns to a pre-agreed pickup point at the scheduled time.

Do you take Melville groups to Citi Field, Yankee Stadium, MetLife or Broadway?

Yes. Game days and theater trips are some of our most common Melville bookings. We set a firm departure, a named meeting point for the return, and factor in tunnel or bridge tolls and venue bus rules in the quote.
